Almost had
Almost had
There is nothing more perfect than a love almost had
The perfection of an enamoured imagination
A dream so perfect it drives the waking one’s mad
A truth unbothered by realisation
There is nothing more pure than a love almost realised
The kind of love that exists behind sleeping eyes
A passion for the one you idealised
The kind of love that exists between sad sighs
There is nothing more beautiful than a love that never had a chance
A love which can’t be put to the test
A love that will never know a first dance
A love that will forever stay in your chest
There is nothing more perfect than a love almost had
And yet, there is nothing more sad
