Come unto the LORD
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Come everyone who may thirst,
Come on down to the waters;
No money will be dispersed,
To bring your sons and daughters.
The land of milk and honey,
Come unto the feast and eat;
Wine and milk without money,
Sample the delicious meat.
Why do you pay for the bread?
Your work does not satisfy;
Listen to Me what I said,
The rich food not to deny.
Hear Me so your soul may live,
I make a new covenant;
My steadfast love will forgive,
Through confession, you repent.
I made you as a witness,
A leader for the people;
Showing spiritual fitness,
For conduct in the temple.
A nation that did not know,
Of the Lord the Holy One;
Glorified you white as snow,
My only begotten Son.
