Journey of love

Katherine A. Brasher 1973 (Bartlesville,Oklahoma)

Not a glimpse of inspiration                                     Where is my confidence?                                    The only life I came to know                              Suddenly makes no sense.                                  -                                                                                                         You came to me                                                   No warning and quite abrupt,                                 Could this be my new life?                                  No pain can interrupt?                                          -
Do I feel some hope?                                          Is this a love you can’t imagine?                     The loss of my intuition                                        No one could fathom.                                            -                                                                            How do I hold on?                                               What am I to do?                                                  I don’t want to lose this                                        I now feel and the cause is you.                            -                                                                           Standing at a crossroads                                      I was just an empty shell,                                       I now feel love again                                                                              Saved from the depths of hell.                              -                                                                            Clinging to this feeling                                          Like the air in my lungs,                                       You are apart of me now                                      My journey has begun.

About this poem

Inspiration came from a life long friend who secretly had a crush on me since the 6th grade! We are both 50 now.
