Letter from me

If I die in a combat zone..
Box me up and send me home...
Pin my medals to my chest...
Tell my momma I did my best..
While I lay my life away....
In this casket of black and gray...
Tell my mom not to cry...
It's my fault I had to die..
All I want is her to know...
I'm the one that chose to go...
Tell my friend to look around...
For that gun I had on battleground...
If you do then your the one...
So go ahead and use my gun..
Pick it up and look around...
Hear the cannons roaring sounds...
Then you'll know my wars still in pursuit...
When you hear the sound of the nine gun salute
