Rose of Tralee

The Rose of Tralee Festival in Kerry does hold,
An exciting event that's both fun and bold.
Celebrating culture and rich Irish traditions,
As the Rose of Tralee is chosen by her impressions.

All around the town the music plays,
Joy and laughter show on everyone's face.
The singing and dancing, the stories that unfold,
Colorful memories of the Rose of Tralee unfold.

From the Rose Ball and parades,
To the market stalls and fireworks displays.
The festival is full of life and Irish culture,
A fairy-tale memory for every participant's future.

The Rose of Tralee is a festival to be trolled,
A unique and magical Irish experience to behold.
So, take a trip to Kerry and celebrate,
In the summer's Rose of Tralee Festival on I.O.L.A.

About this poem

The rose of Tralee is an annual summer festival celebrating Irish culture and heritage and is inspired by the 19th century ballad "The Rose of Tralee". The term I.O.L.A is the poet’s term for modern day Ireland, Island of Little America due to the influence and assimilation of that Great Republic on the western Atlantic.
