Getting Closer
Getting Closer
Lost the signal,
Under that damn bridge again.
It was a bad ass song,
That I haven’t heard since I don’t know when.
The logic does make sense,
But we can’t really know.
So forward at full speed,
And hope that she doesn’t blow.
All the shapely figures,
Silhouettes in the setting sun.
They don’t raise their heads anymore,
But they still look like fun.
Closer to the next wave,
More distance from all the bad vibes.
That sure made a lot of dust,
To still be able to see clear skies.

About this poem
This was a poem about looking back on my life and the adventure that it was up to that point. It refers to there being more in years in the past than there are in the future.
