MAN OF STEEL

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I heard it all before and have been through even more brutal storms, but some, I found myself through the cold to somewhere. Warm, so all I can say is give me your best shot even if it hurts the most because I am my own man willing to, in his blood, pay the cost.

These days are getting more rigid as they pass me by, but I won't give up, and I refuse to cry or die. I won't go down that highway no matter what you bastards think or say.

I do not know who is knocking at my kitchen door, wanting to sit for a cup of coffee and shut shit of a broken fairy tale. All I know is I'm taking the hits to be on my side, and I carve my words on the table and the carving stone hanging in my grandparents' home.

I still believe in my future, even if it is meant to be unknown and the present is hitting like a freight train. And hitting me in the head like a cast iron frying pan, but this life of mine doesn't remember is that it is made out of steel, so all I can say to it is meet in the back of the woodshed, I have a lesson to teach you. I will not lose my fucking mind like my favorite hero. I am, god damn, the man of steel, and you can not pull on my cape even if you tried. I always find a way to escape. I am a super beast, the man of Steel.
