Today and forever
today and forever
a poem from me to my lover..
two souls, completely unaware
of the flourishing they was meant to do together
hesitant as they were,
they spoke
music was ones passion,
she had a heart for it
every lyric was a piece of her
every word dug deep
emotional was the other
she expressed more than she could feel
all came from an absent mother
the trauma they both shared was violent
it sunk into their skin with scars
the persistent attempts to heal eachother
helped them eventually look up to the stars
the sky beneath which they live under
the paths they begin to cross together
they started to wonder
whatever the weather
life threw diamonds
life threw darts
they tried to dodge the majority
but a few hit their hearts
tears were eventually dropped
words were softly spoken
they both prepared for what was to come
and suddenly toxic traits were broken
they went out more often
they started to fight less
they made promises to eachother
each to be their very best
My love when you read this
just know i tried very hard
to write something worth your time
for your time is what i value more than anything
you’re smile lights up my world
i want to watch you prosper
no matter what struggles we go through
we will mould ourselves to fit a solution
i’ll watch you heal
you watch me heal
we hold eachother during the storms
and we support eachother when we shine
you have my heart my dear
forever yours , forever mine ♾
for today and forever…
