God Knows Your Heart
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
When bullies prosper no one wins
God’s children must stick together
So, let us fight to save our friends
And we will all be better
Too many children cry alone
And suffer from rejection
When all it takes is one good friend
To offer them protection
No one should ever feel alone
With Jesus by his side
But how can we be sure He’s there
If all His children hide
In churches and in synagogues
To try to save themselves
We ought to be there for the weak
We need to check ourselves
To be sure we are in Christ
And His Spirit lives in us
Then we will always do what’s right
We’ll always do what’s just
Christ Jesus is the head of us
And we must be His body
To rescue all those who are weak
From all of the ungodly
But the cowardly; their place shall be
In the fiery lake of burning sulfur
