Blind Eyes

Lurking in the shadows he was
Crawling around hoping to not be found
Slipping into cracks
While you scream out

You hope to be heard
As he runs around
He slithers into places
That you did not know could hurt so bad

As you scream and shout
He runs out
Only to creep on back
When people’s heads are turned around

About this poem

This is a poem about the worst night of my life. I am trying to bring people into my shoes instead of turning a Blind Eye with this poem, and I hope it will help someone to know they are not alone because I can never find stories, poems, or songs written about what I and so many others face. I hope y’all can find the message and meaning because I am not just going to give it out that is no fun.

Hello! My name is Mia. I am 14 Years old and from Destrehan, Louisiana, but live in Texas. However, I have spent most of my life in The Netherlands due to my mom’s job. I have severe dyslexia so… I do not like punctuation in my poems. I am really fascinated with the poetry because I can write the words I can not say. I hope you like my poem!!! more…
