Painful word
A life. Of simplicity. Ease. Innocence. Clarity. Perfection. Or at least that's how it seemed on the outside. The hidden pain behind all of that perfection is the most agonizing part of it all. Everyone envying the so-called “perfection” just felt wrong. Because everybody in this world wants what others have, while we are all just suffering. With our own invisible pain. The pain that nobody can see but ourselves. The fact that this whole world is based around jealousy aches. Because by the end of the day, we are all STILL breaking. Suffering. Sobbing. Struggling. Barely Surviving, BEHIND THOSE DOORS OF SUPPOSED “IMPECCABILITY”. But here we are, back wanting whatever tf it is that other people have. When I laid eyes on that picture all I felt was jealousy. BUT HOW ON EARTH DO WE KNOW THAT BEHIND ALL OF THAT MAGNIFICENCE THERE IS NOTHING ELSE??? WE PITY OURSELVES AND ENVY OTHERS. BUT IS THAT REALLY THE BULLSHIT THAT WE WANT TO LIVE??? ALL BECAUSE OF THAT ONE SIMPLE CONCEPT, OF JEALOUSY.
About this poem
I wrote this poem, looking at a beautiful picture of the autumn setting with trees, and leaves falling, and I immediately felt jealousy coming to me. I realized that the fact that I feel jealousy with zero context of the picture is a problem. And it happened in the real world too.
