The Poltergeist

Every night, before I go to sleep, I see a poltergeist. They're beside my bed every night, watching me sleep, and listening into my dreams. No matter where I am, who's with me, what job I work, the Poltergeist finds a way to make that short term happiness, come to an end. At times, I feel like giving up. But I realize, if I were to give up, it gets what it wants. It gets its satisfaction. It could follow me around for 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, or 100 years. I won't let it win

About this poem

This poem is about what it feels like to find yourself in a deep depression. How it feels like there's something watching your every move, and it goes out of its way to make the short term happiness you've obtained, come to a end
