Haiku (26-30)
26
proven to confound
the building blocks of Babel,
one through twenty-six
27
night and with it rest
ever slowly always comes
exchanging burdens
28
nest on gravel roof,
killdeer feigns a crippled's wound,
to the ledge then gone
29
sidewalk debacle,
March's fissure-creeper thrives,
dandelion bloom
30
swiftly skipping stone
on river's green reflecting,
the crimson cardinal
