Free verse
What if
we weren’t supposed
to meet that very day
What if
I got carried away
thinking you were the one
What if
I started liking you
with all that I have
What if
my feelings never
got reciprocated
What if
I was just a game
you had fun playing with
What if
I want to cross every line
that leads to you
What if
My eyes, mouth
is seeking your attention
What if
I am erasing my features
into a black canvas
What if
A love, like this didn’t exist
and I stayed melancholy for a long time
