"Us"
Laying beside you, watching as you sleep,
your breathing, steady and deep.
Tears begin to form falling from my eye,
hoping to never have say goodbye.
As you wake eyes open, looking at me,
it’s that very moment I know we’re meant to be. Sleepy smile on your face,
stored to my mind and to never erase.
Opened arms pull me close,
head on your chest as it rose.
The beat of your heart in sync with mine,
bodies undercover begin to in twine.
Your arms where I lay,
I could sleep away this whole day.
Pull me in and hold me close,
so thankful I’m the one you chose.
