I Challenge You
By Robert T. Davenport
In the depths of contemplation, I dive,
Seeking the essence of thoughts alive,
A challenge accepted, a journey begun,
To unravel the mysteries, one by one.
In the vast expanse of the mind's terrain,
I wander through thoughts, like drops of rain,
Each one a universe, a world untold,
Waiting to be discovered, to unfold.
I challenge the boundaries, the limits imposed,
To venture beyond what's conventionally supposed,
To question the norms, the beliefs we hold,
To seek the truth, both bold and bold.
In the realm of thoughts, I find solace and strife,
A tapestry of ideas, weaving through life,
I challenge the status quo, the accepted view,
To find a deeper understanding, to pursue.
I challenge the notion of time's steady flow,
For in the present moment, eternity may glow,
I challenge the concept of self and identity,
To explore the interconnectedness of humanity.
I challenge the divisions that tear us apart,
To embrace empathy, compassion, and start,
To see beyond the surface, the masks we wear,
To recognize the shared humanity we all bear.
In this journey of thoughts, I challenge my own,
To confront biases, to seeds of growth be sown,
To embrace the discomfort, the unknown,
For it is in the depths, true wisdom is shown.
So, I accept the challenge, with an open mind,
To delve into thoughts, both gentle and kind,
To seek the profound, the truths that lie,
In the depths of thought, where insights fly.
