The Other Side

If I could ever see,
The other side of things,
I'd love for everything to be,
Darkness, and vastness and never-ending gloom,
For this way I'd know now; once, totally and for good,
Where I am I belong, and this is where I need me be,
To be home, at my home, and to never again want to see,
The other side of things.
