The Holy Grail (Women)

James Vincient Johnson 1952 (Algoma WV)

The Holy Grail (Women)

It is women's oldest profession
But is it sinful to create man,
Or sinful to drain the lizard’s can

Women are the Holy Grail
No matter how frail
Now spilled and spelled

Why else would a man lie
About what lay in his eye
Creator made--strong and alone
But with a mate completing their throne

Jealous as a man could be
He hid the Holy Grail
So frail but facts
The only thing he lacks

Still today even the Pope sway
To make hidden things this way
God makes this thought vivid
And it is a heavenly tribute

Women were made to complete man
And both are to roam this land
But the women hold the cup
That makes them up

Don’t be fooled any longer
I the Lord am the stronger
You all drank from it
If only a little bit

About this poem

It is a fact that without women, men would cease to exist. If women's reproductive process is destroyed, so does human existence.
