Pray for Understanding
You have made the Heavens and earth,
By Your power and outstretched arm;
You gave us the power of birth,
The means to shelter from all harm.
Nothing hard for Your steadfast love,
But for the guilt You do repay;
Since the wrath can flow from above,
For the children who disobey.
Because O great and mighty God,
The Lord of hosts which is Your name;
We praise You to honor and laud,
As we continue to proclaim.
Great in counsel, mighty in deed,
Whose eyes are open to all ways;
The ways of the children in need,
Blessings fall upon who obeys.
You reward each per for his path,
Concord to the fruit of his deeds;
That they will be spared from the wrath,
Abundant blessings to their needs.
