Crafty
By Robert T. Davenport
In the depths of my mind, thoughts intertwine,
Crafting words, like a poet divine.
With each stroke of my pen, I seek to find,
A powerful deep thought, to leave no soul behind.
In the silence of night, inspiration awakes,
Whispering secrets, the universe makes.
I gather the stars, one by one,
Weaving them into verses, until the poem is done.
I delve into the depths of human emotion,
Exploring the realms of love and devotion.
With metaphors and similes, I paint a scene,
Capturing the essence of what it means to dream.
Words become my palette, emotions my brush,
As I create a masterpiece, with every hush.
I sculpt the verses, shaping their form,
Crafting a symphony, in the midst of the storm.
Each line is a journey, a path to explore,
Leading the reader to places unknown before.
I delve into the darkness, where shadows reside,
Uncovering truths, that cannot hide.
With rhythm and rhyme, I dance on the page,
Expressing the depths of joy and rage.
I navigate the complexities of the human soul,
Unraveling mysteries, making the broken whole.
In the tapestry of words, I find solace and peace,
A sanctuary where all worries cease.
For in the act of creation, I find release,
A cathartic expression, a moment of peace.
So let the words flow, like a river untamed,
As I craft powerful thoughts, unashamed.
For in the realm of poetry, I find my voice,
A vessel for truth, a reason to rejoice.
