The forgotten.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The forgotten.

What I miss the most on Valentine's Day is the feel of your sweet lips upon mine. Then the card that was never sent. Because you forget. But I have to live with it, and I have no regrets. Maybe I should hit the rewind button, and maybe I can find someone I can call my own. Just someone I can kiss and hold, and that will keep me warm when I grow old. I am a person, and I do have a heart and a soul. But sometimes it hurts me deep inside. I have nothing left; it's up to you to decide. I still love you dearly, and I will always be by your side, however long it takes you to decide.

About this poem

Sometimes Valentine's days are hard. When you don't get a card.
