Is Life Really Worthwhile to Live Anymore?
Is life really worth it to live anymore?
We all move from one day into the next,
Without knowing what lies in store.
All of us were raised to believe a beautiful land
Lies in waiting when we finally make the proper score,
Yet every day coming apparently only draws us closer to some hideous plutonian shore.
It's not worth it to try and own anything,
So, I get my kicks hunting and gathering
And hoping rides on a choo-choo train!
Going to school gets one nowhere,
Except much deeper in debt
And employed by some greed infected man.
When I question anything
Everybody tells me I am only to blame!
One can get married
And have kids,
But when one’s mate runs out,
A callous judge will scream
And point saying;
“Look at what you up and did!”
When one labors, he hands half of what he makes
To a government who allows a multi-million-man enemy to simply walk in,
Then he moves to cut off our access to weapons,
As he secretly plots to send us all into early graves.
One can’t live to own anything,
Because in this world today he never does.
One labors night and day only to pay a lease,
While a body of propaganda attempts to convince one
How much he has it made;
But the real truth is
that you’re only a dirty rotten slave!
Is life really worth living in the end?
We are all doomed to die
From the moment we commence.
We are motivated only to exist,
As are the birds
and the bees,
and the beasts,
While the villains surrounding us plot
To steal our vegetables
And our meat!
One day near our seventieth year,
No matter how hard we struggle to avert what lies in store,
We only have sickness,
Spending all our money and time
visiting doctors,
Having no time for nothing more,
Until our degenerate ends are selected
by the hand of fate.
Does it really have to be that way?
Why can’t one decide where?
There are many selections as to how.
Then one can choose when,
Setting us high above the beaver,
The horses,
And the cow.
In a murky dream
I behold a mountain top,
With a cave high above,
Somewhere in no-man's land where there is
At least a thousand-foot drop.
I'll swallow the wolfbane herb that shall truly
set me free for all of blessed eternity....
Then, like the holy father,
Abraham,
The God of all can bury me in the sand.
