Blue Horizons
I had dreams of blue horizons
So I wandered far and wide
Climbing mountains, crossing oceans
Pushing all my doubts aside
In the sunlight, in the moonlight
I could hear a constant call
In the chambers where my heart beats
Walls of fear began to fall
I had dreams of blue horizons
Then my travels led to you
In a bar you grabbed a napkin
Drew a map for me to view
Full of thick lines and thin squiggles
Like a work of modern art
“These,” you said, “are clues and riddles
Meant to lead you to my heart”
I had dreams of blue horizons
But I felt adrift alone
Now we walk this life in tandem
It’s your heart that is my home
I can face an endless skyline
Unafraid of what’s ahead
’Cause I know we’ll see love’s light shine
Anywhere we make our bed
