A Fathers Eyes
Jacqueline Cofield 1991 (United states)
A fathers eyes were as light as the brightest skies
But all he could see were his own lies
From those bright baby blue eyes
For a father to look at a daughter through creepy lustful eyes
For a daughter to be a conquest
A father as such could not be from nothing righteous
Why must his eyes deceive such outrageous lies
As she cries through her own pretty blue eyes
That reflect so much of her fathers eyes
She resents seeing his reflection in her eyes
All she wants to see is his eyes cry
For all the creepy lies
His eyes hide
How can she hide from those lies
When the mirror holds those same exact pretty blue eyes
She can break those chains
To the names within her veins
To which the bright baby blue eyes Klan Claim
To change those names could change the game
If her own eyes produced a new reflection that were not the same as his name
If her own eyes could reflect into all the colors under the sky
Her sons eyes would never project to his daughters thighs
Her daughters would never know the rejection like the reflection of a fathers eyes
Who told the lies of chains untied
