When I was a school boy.

In my early schooldays,
Monday was my starting of,
tiring long journey of the week
and I felt boring and sick.

The first fivedays of the week,
was like five long years.
Saturday and Sunday the last two days.
Seemed very short recess.

On Monday morning,
I went to school like a snail,
with school bag on back,
lacking of energy in walk.

On Friday evening,
i returned from school,
with lot of vigour and zest,
as if a caged bird returning to its nest.
