Symphony

Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)

When you are confused,

Watch the mind and its

hard driving towards decision.

A frantic race to not have to face the work of calm consideration

It will hopscotch to conclusions,

create multiple delusions.

Any suspect will fit the description.

It pressures with time limits,

isn't it always now or never.

Every fleeting thought made to seem,

Like the best solution ever.

It will play the one choice card,

because that's just who you are.

You can't do anything else,

This is the only option in your jar.

Truth is,there are always other options,

when we step out of the cage,

of a fragmented mind,

with all its fear and rage.

That there is wisdom in us,

a silent symphony.

Where words lose all meaning,

and intelligence is set free.

About this poem

About confusion and not acting on it.
