Traveling
The wanderers,
The souls,
No deception,
The bowls, and,
The reception.
I see it all
Clearly as day.
If I danced at a wedding
And ate a bowl of cake,
I would be white as the icing, pure.
I would be clean as my soul, and
Not with deception
To my bride,
And clear by confession.
I would be straight with no need to hide.
Me and my love would travel
State-to-state,
Camping, with food on our plate.
We would hike with
Sweat from the navel.
We would be fit
As we aged,
Like when we
Were engaged.
It’s time to see the sky and fly.
