To be Free

To be free

you long to enjoy the feeling of being free,
the wind running through your hair
as you leave the world behind,
but reality yanks you
before you have left the atmosphere,
your heart longs to feel that heart felt emotion again,
as if you were riding the wind,
few experience the joy of being free,
before reality finds them
and pulls them back,
only the ones
with their imagination over-flowing
still find a way
a way to take to the skies
and leave the world
behind.
