The Beauty of India

Robert Joseph Mattingly 1957 (Brookline, Massachusetts)

She is manager there,
Store in back for awhile.
She has come out, her hair
Down all I do is smile.

An Indian Princess
Is what she is to me,
And I have to confess.
Her, I can't wait to see.

Right at the very start,
Though the store had a crowd,
I mean it touched my heart;
Her saying Hi out loud.

Her beauty is what makes,
India so pretty,
And whatever it takes;
She's proud of her city.

What will not leave my mind,
There it will always be,
From within is how kind
This lady is to me.
