Outside Church Conduct
Remind them to be submissive,
To rulers and authorities;
Obedient and submissive,
Working with their priorities.
Speak no evil and be gentle,
By showing perfect courtesy;
Never being detrimental,
Working towards legitimacy.
We were foolish and led astray,
Slaves to the passions and pleasures;
Malice and envy will convey,
As a lover of your treasures.
The kindness and love of the Lord,
Our gracious Savior appears;
We need to be in one accord,
With praise as each of us reveres.
He saved us not of the works done,
Rather by His mercy and grace;
Because He is God’s only Son,
Compassionate love to embrace.
Through the renewal of His Spirit,
Through Jesus Christ the blood He shed;
Poured for our faith and merit,
His righteousness that He had bled.
By His grace being justified,
To the hope of eternal life;
Made us heirs with the crucified,
He endured the toils and strife.
Faithful and trustworthy to say,
I want you to plead on these things;
Devote to good works and obey,
Abundant blessings that it brings.
