DEAR CHRISTIAN

DEAR CHRISTIAN

Dear Christian,  I've a question for ya now
Do you share His Name, and tell me how
Do you play the world's lying game
Or living to give Glory to His Name?
Is there a different spirit to you,
Shown in every thing ya do?

Dear Christian,  what trail are you gonna walk?
Are you actions matching your Holy talk?
Does the world recognize you for its own?
Or do they try to leave you all alone?
Are you warning the world of their peril,
As you walk the straight and narrow?

Dear Christian, are you that bright shiny light,
A beckon in the darkest blackest night?
Can you be seen in a raging crowd
Shouting Jesus name out loud?
Or are you hidden, so none may see
The Lord living in you and me?

Dear Christian,  be an epistle of our Lord
Lift His Word as your blazing sword
So the Light shines in a darkened land,
On a Hill the Cross  will surely stand
Be the witnesses you are called to be
Breaking the bonds and set the captive free

Dear Christian, He's called you by name
Time to stop playing this world's game
He's lit a fire in you, so go shine brightly
Define the Truth clear and rightly
Be the voice crying in a desolate land,
Come to the Savior's scar torn hand

Dear Christian,  follow Him, though all alone,
Come boldly before His Holy throne
Put the Cross before you, and the world behind
Now seeing Truth when you once were blind
You've decided to follow,  there's no turning back
My dear Christian,  He'll supply whatever you lack
AMEN
