The Fay Lay

Around the ring
They dance and sing
Chasing the fading light
Hours they ling
With merriment bring
Cloaked beneath the night
Unseen my most
They drink and toast
A amidst the evening shade
Throughout they coast
And brag and boast
Of a secret place they've made
Atop the trees
They cross with ease
After the windy lock
Hours they tease
And do as they please
The sluggish clouds they mock
Above the lea
They frolic and play
Betwixt the earth and rain
And before the day
They make their way
Back to the faerie bane
