Geisha

In the crowded
streets of Japan
A regal bird walks
and shines
In a beautiful
Kimono that implies
The soul of an artist
that turns eyes

Performing in front
of men
singing and dancing
to entertain
This exotic gem
with soft moves
warms the hearts of
those who care

In the air, you can
smell the cherry
trees
creating a new
world a fantasy
even in this pretty
sight
the lady is a
prisoner in disguise

Her desires and
thoughts are
trapped
she can´t fly
only with her
movements and
songs
her spirit soars to
the highest points

Her painted face
will not show
her emotions and a
lonely soul
Trying to please
others desire
an attitude of
obedience marks
her path

The most endearing
creature on earth
does not feel joy
her delicate facade
will not compensate
A life banished like
thin air.
