Chasing reveries

She said "I'm getting less and less energy , even when I sleep more and more"
she would escape reality by entering imaginary worlds

As an anxious, depressed shut-in there wasn't much else that she could do, she couldn't endure the mental anguish so she was feeling really blue

Time was slipping through her fingers ,as she wasted her life away , chasing endless reveries because in real life she was a freak

Suicidal, socially awkward, could've sworn she was half dead. Every day was filled with angst and plenty of existential dread

But instead of puncturing her heart she ruined her life, chasing after dreams , when she could've just grabbed a knife
