THEN CAME YOU

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

THEN CAME YOU...

For Faith

I met you at the end of a long dark road
Putting down a heavy and weary load
Still not sure where I was right or wrong
Only sure that I didn't belong
Finally I was the man I was meant to be
I came home content to be me...
...And then came you...
Like a flash in the night
Like a shout in the wind
Our hearts fit right,
And our love begin
Honey I wouldn't change what I went through...
...because then came you

18 years later I'm still amazed
That you've stood by me so unfazed.
God knows it hasn't been an easy road
Planes falling, storms roar, and rockets explode
Our love is true and meant to be
Honey I'd never be fully me...
...if not with you...
You're my anchor, refuge, my rock
In you I've found a will to be strong
A partner for any road we will walk
With you in my arms I'll never go wrong
Our love will see every trial through
I can stand it all...with you
