WHAT DID IT COST YOU?

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

WHAT DID IT COST YOU?

What did it cost you,
To leave Heaven far behind?
What did it cost you
To leave the Glory there to find?
What did it cost you
To give sight to the blind?
What did it cost you...
     ...oh my God....
What did it cost you?

What did it cost you
To leave the pearly sky?
What did it cost you
To save a wretch such as I?
What did it cost you
That you were born to die?
What did it cost you...
   ...oh my God...
What did it cost you?

I can never imagine
The choice you freely made
To pay our wage of sin
In Blood the price was paid
I can't imagine what it cost...
   ...oh my God...
What did it cost you?

What did it cost you
To take it all on your head?
What did it cost you
To fulfill the words you said?
What did it cost you
To raise us from the dead?
What did it cost you...
   ...oh my God...
What did it cost you?

What did it cost you
To become a Manger King?
What did it cost you
For the Angel host to sing?
What did it cost you
At the nail and hammer ring?
What did it cost you...
   ...oh my God...
What did it cost you

You crushed the serpent's head
In a brilliant master stroke
When you rose from the dead
Sin's power finally broke
I can't imagine what it cost...
   ...oh my God...
What did it cost you?
AMEN
