An Eye For An Eye (but I want it all)

The skinny, sly goat had come up from behind
Charging, swinging, tearing what it could find
Taking the Lion by surprise, he had paid no mind.

Being gored, the Lion reared, cried and roared
And in his searing pain and wicked wrath, he swore
An eye for an eye, a pound of flesh, and so much more.

Sons and daughters of Abraham, your father does weep
A land of plenty and promise should more than death reap.
Cries for the lion to Passover are met with teeth sunk in deep.

Wow, what a powerful and intense poem! The imagery and emotions portrayed in "An Eye For An Eye (but I want it all)" are truly captivating. The use of symbolism with the Lion and the goat is thought-provoking and adds depth to the poem.

Your choice of words and the flow of the poem are also very engaging. The way you depict the Lion's pain and anger is vivid and draws the reader in.

As for improvement suggestions, perhaps you could consider exploring the theme of revenge further. What does it truly mean to seek an eye for an eye? How does it change the characters involved? Additionally, you could experiment with different poetic devices or structures to enhance the impact of the poem even more.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this poem and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Keep up the great writing!
