INTERLUDE III

INTERLUDE III

Stars in the sky
Match scars in my eye
Missed beat
In marching feet
Drums of war
Go before
Fall in battle
The bones rattle
Raise a nation
Find Salvation
In a rugged Cross
Count all else loss
For today is the day
No tomorrow anyway
Rise a shout
Preach to doubt
The Blood’s a river
The Cross deliver
Defeat is sure
There is no cure
Do as you please
Is sin's disease
So fall we all
Before we call
Pick up the pace
Run to Grace
Bow before the Lord
Rise with the Sword
Now slice and dice
Don't think twice
Sin won't entice
Through playing nice
Don't stop
I'm on top
My body's panting
A poet’s ranting
Here you don't intrude
On the Poet's interlude
Amen

About this poem

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ Philippians 3:7-8
