Scent Of Rain

This is what they say
We got gloomy weather for today
Wild waves roar on the bay
But, wait this happens in the month of May?

This is now, very different from what was then
I was at the age of ten
Living in a simple house and owned a hen
I was little, no savings, aside from a blue pen

Before, happiness is found in a simple moment
Where mosquitos are your only opponent
When you do not care about exponent
The time you slept instead of finding a quotient

Hand shadow shows were stuck on my brain
The story of the candle was retained
These are beautiful memoirs, there was less pain
It is home and this was the scent of rain
