The Heart of God

The Heart of God

There in the garden was the heart tree,
A beautiful sight for all to see,
Its strong branches the shape of a heart,
The tree really was a work of art.

Many branches went off in different ways,
While the heart stood strong throughout its days,
The busy branches of life to see,
But also the heart makes up the tree.

Our busy lives are bearing fruit,
But we mustn't forget to go to the root,
On this path of life that we trod,
Remember first to go to the Heart of God.

About this poem

The poem was written on one of my photography walks. The branches of a tree looked like a heart, so I wrote about the trees branches comparing them to life and how we must seek the heart of God. Kim xx
