Daughter

Latin X 1967 (Philadelphia)

You know the sound of the beating of my heart.
I loved you from the start.
Know one could tear us apart.

Although I know I wasn’t perfect,
I hope I made life worth it.

There’s somethings I would’ve changed,
I hope you love me  just the same.

There’s no other love I can compare to you,
I wish I could fulfill every dream for you.

I hope you find a mate that loves you more than me.
That fills your life with love and no misery.

One day you’ll have a daughter too.
You’ll find out how much I really love you.
