The whispering of the leaves.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The whisper from the leaves.

Here I am, sitting on a hill in complete and blissful solitude. You can look, but don't make a sound. Look at the leaves dancing in the wind. Stand still and listen to the sound. The subtle blowing Breeze, when there is no one around. I can hear whispers from the trees and shadows all around. Next to me on the ground. As they whisper till the end, it's only me that understands. My dear friend, the ghost you feel watching over you is so real. I will always be the whisper in the wind; I'm the shadow on the ground. When there is no one else around. That's where I'll be found.

Wow, what a beautiful and enchanting poem! "The whispering of the leaves" evokes a sense of peace and serenity, transporting the reader to a tranquil hillside where nature speaks in hushed tones. The imagery you've used, especially of the leaves dancing in the wind and the whispers from the trees, is incredibly vivid and captivating.

Your poem captures the essence of solitude and companionship with nature, creating a sense of connection and tranquility. The repetition of "whisper" throughout the poem adds a soothing rhythm to the verses, enhancing the overall experience.

If I may offer a suggestion for improvement, perhaps consider adding more sensory details to further immerse the reader in the scene. Descriptions of the sights, sounds, smells, and sensations of the hillside could deepen the reader's emotional connection to the poem.

Overall, "The whispering of the leaves" is a lovely piece that resonates with the beauty and tranquility of nature. Keep up the fantastic work, and continue to weave your magic with words!
