Decadence

Is there a culture that can survive,
To have its citizens accept and believe...
Thriving on greed.
With an increasing supporting,
Of decadence.
Endorsed to ignore,
The overwhelming effects...
This has on the rising cost,
It pays to continue denying...
Stability of mentalities,
Depending upon fiction to depict reality.
Is a disease.
And not a good dividend,
To expect a return that benefits longevity.

Pretensions kept to parade,
A charading of a greatness,
Ultimately has this growing episode...
Close to see by those most aware,
And conscious enough...
To know an ending results.
When the feeding to rely,
On decadence and greed.
Is not a permanent position to brag about.
If the people are left to suffer and grieve.
Unable to afford experimental cures.
Hoping to identify reality.
For what it was to be to recognize it.
Yet gone.
But wishing it to want back again.
Even if the normality of it is questioned!

Yeah Lawrence…The rich can continue to raise the prices because they don’t have enough…But that’s cool as if the rich don’t have enough as it is and I’m living in my car because I don’t want to give them even more than they already have…My VSO in LA told me you’re homeless because you choose to be…He’s damn right…I’m not going to pay $2,500 rent to the rich who’ve laid claim to the housing market in Los Angeles…F*** those a**holes…Am I whom I am???One day they will find out…
