A Poem about Peace

And for a world so large & loud,
The deepest of us find rage in the quiet moments as we know this time will surely pass;
But in those moments we can finally
Hear our breath,
Hear our thoughts,
Feel our soul,
But also feel most at rest
When it’s quiet
It feels so small
It feels as if I’m the only one in the tiny Forrest that is oh so large
I can see stars & hear crickets.
The sound of a wolf howling at the moon feels comforting;
For-thy
I am not scared,
I am not lost,
I am what human always long to be,
At ~Peace~.

Rage begins to surface;
& soon the Peace starts to dissolve.
A simple “ding” makes it all large & loud once again.
The stars swiftly turn into city lights,
The crickets become electricity pulsating;
& the howling wolf is now muffled by the sound of humans talking over one another.
It’s loud, so loud.

Until next time ~Peace~.
