Surrender

I lift myself from my bed
The feeling of cloudiness weighing down my head
The thoughts of life and love still present
The night, the day, before effervescent
The choices we make a reflection of our life
Not sure, right or wrong but ever prominent, ever rife

Today I am presented with a path
As my body weighs up the past
The path is near the decision is far
My feelings still tied down by panic
My head afraid to take the tonic

Choices opening up droplets of hope
Exciting feeling of the unknown
Carefully slowly walking the rope
I notice the tightness in my head
The risk of choices carrying me back to bed

I dream of the future, I dream of the past
My head still cloudy my thoughts running fast
Away from choices away from chaos
I tell myself, this is now, not forever
But this is everything, this is life
I can choose this path, I surrender
