I expected you
Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)
The day could not end without your face.
Possibilities of you entwined in thoughts like lace.
I prepared the food to the second of your grace.
I wondered the house removing mistakes.
I looked at your gift so perfectly true.
I hoped to please you in everything you do.
But the hour grew longer and the patience tugged.
My fingers lost without your touch and love.
I called out to you but you were silent as the night.
No longer would i wait to hold you tight.
For you were gone for good and lost was our fight.
So I wept like a child to release you right.
Now those tears are dried and my skin cracked as the desert.
I know we don't talk much but sometimes It still hurts.
