A 1,000 WORDS

Does this beauty inside and out you taunt me with above really exist? If so, then I would like to make my pitch!

Please come and talk to me a while, give me a chance to show you romance, to make you laugh, perhaps to smile.

I can be your best friend and lover, confidante, Knight in shining armor. Destiny is wild, and you will never tame fate when hearts are on fire, the body can wait...

Passion and romance from ecstasy have not gone away. Just our desire for patience, knowledge and compassion is where most go wrong today.

What I see in your eyes is a relative void, some disbelief that your dreams of meeting a nice boy, falling in love with butterflies in your stomach just enough to annoy, kissing under the moonlit Willow tree have been long since crushed and gone away.

I know it's been tough for you, and you've seen your share of dismay. But mark my words, soon you'll mark the day when something very special walked into your heart and settled down to stay...

If someone jest or is to joke, then damn the scourges that led me to believe in the dream to which I spoke. Day after day wishing and hoping the fair maiden you describe would come my way.

The gift of false hope is a terrible crime which the punishment should be, that which a gentleman like myself, could never mention in the presence of a lady so very refined...

Numi

"Numi" is the pen-name I adopted in 2007 after a friend gifted me a copy of The Essential Rumi; by Coleman Barks. After reading some of my works, it was suggested that it reminded them of the works by Rumi. In no way do I align myself with this Great Master Poet, but I do feel a deep connection to his poetry, and the book of Essentials was my constant companion during a 5 year saga, where I was stranded in the Amazon Jungle of Peru, from 2010-2015. Everything in my collections were written during a 4 year period, 1999-2003. more…
