Addle
As long as we live we breath
while walking along the earth
Heart and soul working as one
sometimes programmed to shun
Yourself intact bruised, left with a trace of suspicion
Still believing in love but hardly capable of feeling it
Careful where to give it to as precious as it is
Reminds you of being human, a little dense and stupid
Hungry wolfs, thirsty and cold, hunting for a prey
Walking around the living dead with nothing left but run
Is there any chance that this is all a dream?
Certainly why not just wake up and scream
And in the daylight everything
looks different than at night
As you wake up for the day
you shake off all the fright
Your feet on the floor are cold and real
reminding you of today's harsh winter
Quickly you step into some
really nice warm house shoes
