Higher power

Here I'am lost again
in my own mind.
A disfunctional coward pretending to cleanse
in which you can confide.
Dont tell me secrets,
tell me lies.
This is the self imposed torture and indignity,
of our own kind.
Our heads are like clouded balls of energy,
begging for release.
Where is this higher power to save me?
Help me please.

You make the hair on the back of my neck stand up,
I feel your touch.
There is a demon wound up inside of me,
what the f*ck does he want?
I'am a wasted shell he could not possibly,
live off my blood.
I slit my wrists then you will see,
my river of love.
I bet your face is pure ecstacy,
my one true dove.

My camels hump is broken,
no longer stores the rain.
What is this black cloud hanging over me?
I fear its my shame.
No longer can I play this sick and twisted game,
just tell me your name.

Rosco daw

d-ory@hotmail.comIf I try to describe myself I can't cause I don't really know. I think I'm a bunch of different personalities in one body. I' am dark and a little depressed behind closed doors. But towards my friends I' am confident and happy. I struggle for acceptance from people but I do a great job of hiding it.Poetry is my release. Without it I could'nt function. But I think I was always meant to have it. I had never written a poem until I was 22 years old. I did'nt even know I could write a poem until someone special inspired me then shattered my heart. I believe this is why I write mostly dark, depressive poems. Because that's how it all started for me.My tag is weight of the world. Reason being I believe the weight of the world is on the shoulders of a few. And most of us are just standing around consuming and polluting waiting for others to clean up after us. I reflect some of this in my poetry.I live in Hobart, Australia and I' am 24 years old. Thanks for reading. Leave comments, your thoughts and I will return the favour.P.S There are certain words spelt differently in Australia so please keep this in mind when reviewing my poetry. And I 'am on facebook under rosco daw. E-mail at top of page.... more…
