Just Look

Standing far off-what do we see
Three men hanging-each on a cross
Must be thieves or worse
So there's not much of a loss

Moving closer to get a better look
None are the same-if we but see
One thief was cursing the crowd
When he was so very guilty

Looking to the other side
He knows he has no right to be free
Begging for help from the middle man
He knows what he's done-he's guilty

Looking at the man in the middle
He hasn't done what they said
He's hanging there-silently praying
For the one's who should be there instead

He never said a word in His defense
He endured all the undeserved pain
He was lead to His death by the guilty
While He silently bore their shame

He died a horrible death
As He hung upon that tree
He loved us so very much
He died to set us free
